For “Enterprise Week” at the Imperial Global Summer School, we were tasked with devising and presenting a product or service to benefit the community. We pitched the idea of a wristband for people in the early stages of dementia.

 I’ve seen older relatives struggle with complex technology, so the wristband, “CARE Band,” would be purposely designed to be simple and easy to use for the elderly and people who are not very tech-savvy. It would provide reminders for when to take their medicine as well as when to exercise and instructions on how to perform the workout. The patient’s vital signs would be transmitted via the wristband to an app accessible by a doctor. The doctor could then remotely monitor the patient’s progress and send them messages.
